There are various tasks which we regularly undertake to beautify
the Shul for the forthcoming
Festivals.
We are looking for ladies of all ages with enthusiasm and energy to join us in helping our Shul to go forward into a bright new future.
The Worker Bees This committee was formed to raise funds for building and maintaining the
Shul, but has extended its function to help with various events that need organising for
the Shul.

Our main fund raiser is the 200 Club where for £5 a month (for at least twelve months)
you are entered into a monthly draw for one prize of £500. There is no limit to the
number of times you can win.
The Welfare Committee
The Welfare Committee exists to provide practical support for members and their families. Support includes hospital and home visits, befriending, help with shopping and transport, and general information and advice.
Anyone requiring our services should advise the Shul Office on 020 8554 5969 that they would like Welfare to contact them. Messages may be left 24 hours a day.
Adult Education The committee has been set up to provide items of Jewish interest that can be
shown to the Shul members in the way of lectures or show. We organise a winter
lecture programme and an annual Malaveh Malkah.
Ilford Synagogue has a weekly publication, called
Chadashot (meaning 'news'). This includes information on all forthcoming events,
together with any news our congregation may be interested in. If you have any news
to be included, or to let us know your ideas, e-mail us at chadashot@ilfordsynagogue.co.uk.
